Samsung Galaxy Note has been a big hit even Samsung didn't expect that much response from the users. See the big success of what is called as phone + tablet combo, LG has come up with LG Optimus Vu… which will compete with Galaxy Note category and with that Galaxy Note is not only the phone under phone + tablet combination.

Samsung's Galaxy Note is an excellent smartphone. It's fast, fluid, and runs the best apps perfectly. Whether the ginormous size is right for you is your call, but some features like handwriting to text are a clear miss, and the battery is terribly short, especially on LTE. If the Note had a stronger battery I'd recommend tablet owners who use the larger device mostly for media to switch to the smaller, more convenient form factor. The Galaxy Note is exclusive to AT&T in the US and available for $300 with a two-year contract.

The Samsung Galaxy Note weighs 6.28 ounces and measures 5.78 x 3.27 x 0.38 inches. Its 2500 mAh lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 10 hours of talk time, and up to 250 hours (10.4 days) of standby time. It runs on AT&T's 4G LTE and HSPA+ networks (850/1900 MHz; HSPA+/HSDPA/UMTS) plus international 2100 MHz 3G networks. It's also a quad-band GSM phone (850/900/1800/1900 MHz GPRS/EDGE).

The update for the Samsung Galaxy Note adds all the goodies that Android 4.0 is blessed with, but that is not all. Also included in the set is the Premium Suite from Samsung , which adds a bunch of S-Pen optimized applications. To start, Shape Match and Formula Match can be used to correct and digitize geometric shapes, tables, and grids drawn with the S-Pen, and can even solve numeric formulas. In addition, the My Story app allows users to make their own personalized digital cards.
Many Samsung Galaxy Note users are drawn to the device for its versatility. It can easily replace both a standard 4 to 5 inch phone AND a 7 inch tablet. It can be tweaked to enable NFC . It received it's Ice Cream Sandwich update quicker than many of its peers. If you haven't gotten it over-the-air it's available through Samsung's PC Software Kies. The update weighs in at over 300MB and brings all the Ice Cream Sandwich goodness, albeit still with Touchwiz in full force. As such, you won't notice too much of a change to the overall UI however, Android 4.0 will bring improvements across the board and help to take better advantage of the power in the handset. Obviously, the new Roboto font from Android 4.0 will look stunning on that 1280×800 killer screen.
